A&M
La Cannonerie

Réaux, South West France

A&M reached out to me once they had discovered their wedding venue, La Cannonerie, a place brimming with French charm, nestled near Cognac amid rolling vineyards and sunflower fields. It offered the perfect setting for the wedding weekend they envisioned:

relaxed, joyful, and effortlessly chic.

On the wedding day, guests were welcomed with a bespoke cocktail crafted using local cognac from the lovely Bertrand family, the 1731 enjoyed before the ceremony took place under the warm Charente-Maritime sun. A champagne tower followed to officially open the celebrations, alongside elegant canapés and a much-loved oyster bar.

Dinner was set beneath the loggia, with a stunning long top table surrounded by round guest tables. The décor was a harmonious blend of neutral and soft peach tones, beautifully brought to life by our talented florist, The Petal Drop, who created a perfectly balanced and romantic atmosphere.

De l’Huile sur le Feu delighted guests with a delicious three-course meal, setting the tone for a relaxed and convivial evening.

As dinner came to a close, A&M slipped away to catch the most glorious golden-hour light. The sunset over the vineyards provided a breathtaking backdrop, perfectly immortalising their couple photos before the evening celebrations began.

The festivities then continued in the barn, where one element was completely non-negotiable for the couple: a statement disco ball, setting the mood for the party ahead. Tradition took a playful twist with a cheese tower in place of a classic cake, followed by the first dance and an unforgettable evening filled with laughter, music, and a lively dance floor.

A truly joyful celebration in the heart of the French countryside.
