C&R
Le Manoir de l’Étang, Mougins

C & R’s wedding at Le Manoir de l’Étang in Mougins holds a very special place in my heart, as it was the very first wedding I planned entirely solo. A true labour of love, this celebration was two years in the making, patiently postponed due to the pandemic, making the eventual weekend all the more meaningful.

The couple chose this charming hotel in Mougins to remain close to their family holiday home and to host all their guests onsite, creating a wonderfully intimate and convivial atmosphere for the entire weekend.

Festivities began with a relaxed welcome drinks reception featuring refreshing spritz cocktails, delicate canapés, and live music from a singer accompanied by his guitar, the perfect way to set the tone.

The wedding day itself was nothing short of bliss. Over 30,000 flowers transformed the venue, while an original seating plan welcomed guests with a shot of homemade pink limoncello. A Scottish touch came courtesy of a bagpiper leading guests to dinner, where a striking long top table faced the guests across the pool, framed by a spectacular floral arch. Above, a canopy of fairy lights stretched across the entire dinner area, creating a magical sky of warm light as evening fell. A violinist performed from within a bubble floating on the swimming pool, followed by a roaming band that effortlessly ignited the party atmosphere.

With Provence rosé flowing freely and Mediterranean flavours delighting every palate, the celebration continued well into the night.

The following day, C & R once again hosted their guests for a joyful pool party and leisurely brunch, the perfect ending to an unforgettable wedding weekend, filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.
